CCBM or Closed Cavity Bag Moulding is a patented system utilising a mould, reusable/ permanent bag and vacuum to manufacture parts from thermoset resin and typically glass fibres.
Advantages of this system include:
- Control over part thickness
- Reduced emissions (50 to 80% less)
- Voids eliminated
- Increased strength per weight (Up to 50% lighter for the same strength)
- Better surface finish on ‘B’ surface
